My passion for performance focused training stemmed from my personal journey as a competitive distance runner throughout my NCAA career, as well as my current pursuit as an elite distance runner. I just moved from Oahu, where you learn very quickly how important functional fitness is- whether you want to swim, paddle, or hike the Ko'olau mountain range with a friend, training for your quality of life is so important to me. With my background in athletics (and fair share of injuries due to strength and nutritional imbalances), I enjoy helping clients find their comeback, post injury, and use strength training and nutrition as a form of "prehab" for endurance athletes of all levels. In terms of group fitness, my previous experience as a regional coach and manager for multiple boutique studios has provided me the confidence to lead a super motivating, well-organized, and engaging group class.
With one on one training, I love getting to be a part of motivating clients to create habits, and take a holistic approach by implementing nutrition, training, and sleep goals. During COVID years, I helped lead groups of women virtually, through 45 minute strength training programs, and had to learn quickly how to motivate, give feedback, and support each woman's individual "why" through a computer screen. It's such a privilege to get to move our bodies, and create mind-muscle connections, with minimal limitations, and I love getting to be a small piece of reminding clients of their worthiness.
I believe in a balanced approach to training, and love to create lifestyle goals with my clients to ensure that exercise is a joyful, rewarding, and healing experience.. no matter your background. I'm so excited to meet you, exactly where you're at, and work as a team for YOUR "why".
