1 Day Yoga Retreat

  • Inspired Fitness Training Center 2000 Gravenstein Highway North Sebastopol, CA, 95472 United States (map)

Take a dive into the depths of yoga for a day and come out the other end a more well-rounded yogi.

Join a supportive physical and spiritual experience that will awaken both mind and body.

While the poses can change the body, the theme and spoken word of yoga can change lives.

We will guide you as you embark on your thousand-step pilgrimage, supporting you with a steady breath and nurturing your soulful connection to the present moment.

Many of us are brought to yoga through our physical practice on the mat. But the magic of yoga and what it can do for your physical, mental, and spiritual self is deepened by diving into the other pillars that make up the whole of what it means to practice yoga off the mat. To take the journey of moving from doing yoga to being yoga.

SCHEDULE

7:30-8:45A: Opening breathwork and meditation
9:00-10:30A: SuperSoul class (public class—optional)
10:45A-4:30P: The afternoon will be broken up by different breath work followed by discussion of the above topics, journal work, and guided meditation. An afternoon of beginning again and again in each breath as we come back to ourselves—To Our Centers.

Pranayama (Breath) first pillar of yoga We will learn 3-5 different pranayama (breaths) Practices, their meaning, and how they can help.

Tapas: (Fire) second pillar of yoga The burning off of old habits and patterns. How do we actually do this?

Drishti: (Focus) third pillar of yoga What are you looking at? What are your recurring thoughts? What does it mean to change your perspective? An un-earthing, taking off some of the layers of how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. And what’s possible when you change your focus? (Svadhyaya)

Ahimsa: first Yama Non-harming.

Atha: first Sutra The practice of yoga begins now.

Mantra: The learning of a mantra (it’s a surprise). We all have mantras. Some are conscious, most unconscious. Some help us, and many that hurt us. Learn the meaning and purpose of mantra. Giving ourselves the gift of arriving as presently as possible, with as little junk from our past as possible in each moment. So that we may sept forth into what is now, what you are up to, and what do you want to be up to. Setting a clear path of stepping into presence.
